Bella, also affectionately known as Bella Jean, came into our lives on a whim the summer of 2014. A friend was moving out of state and had to rehome her dogs. My husband and I had only been dating less than a year at the time but we decided, what the heck, let’s get a dog. So Bella came home to us as a four month old puppy.

Fast forward 11 years - Bella was there for us during our engagement, our marriage, the buying of our first and current home, and the birth of our second son, who quickly became her best friend. From the very first day we brought him home from the hospital, Bella slept under his bassinet and was by his side until the very end. Over the years, the pair spent time chasing balls and bubbles, playing in the sprinkler, and lounging on the couch together, catching a nap or a favorite TV show.

Bella was a very loving, trustworthy fur baby, protecting her family all while never meeting a stranger. She claimed the couch as her spot, slept on the end of our bed every night, cherished steak night, and took daily car rides to pick up the boys from daycare or school. She absolutely loved everyone she met, especially children, giving them big slobbery kisses when they came near.

Bella will always be cherished and forever missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
