In Loving Memory of Blue
2009 – 2025
Beloved Dachshund, Snack Enthusiast, Toy Hoarder, and Family Menace (in the best way)
Today, we say goodbye to our beloved Blue — a dachshund with a bark bigger than his body and a presence that filled every room he waddled into.
Blue was more than just our childhood dog — he was a stubborn little king who ruled our hearts and our home for 14 unforgettable years. Originally our mom’s loyal companion, he quickly made it clear that he was everyone’s business, whether we liked it or not. And even when he got on every single one of our nerves — and he did — there was never a moment we didn’t love him deeply.
He had short legs, a long back, and a personality that could knock down walls. Blue had a passion for snacks, a suspicious side-eye for newcomers, and an unbreakable bond with his “babies” — the little stuffed toys he guarded like treasures. He demanded attention on his terms, cuddled when he felt like it, and barked at anything that dared to move… or not move fast enough.
He was a rascal, a grump, a food thief, and the undisputed king of the couch. But more than that, Blue was family. Through every chapter of our lives — the hard ones, the quiet ones, the growing-up-too-fast ones — he was there. Always watching, always judging, always loving in his own little way.
Fourteen years with Blue gave us enough memories to last a lifetime. His tiny paws left a massive imprint on our hearts.
Rest easy, sweet boy. May the snacks be endless, your babies be squeaky, and the laps always warm. We’ll miss the noise, the drama, the stubbornness — we’ll miss you, Blue.
You weren’t just a dog. You were ours.
