Buddy Henderson

Buddy, our loyal and steadfast companion, born September 3, 2012, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, at the age of 12. More than just a hunting dog, Buddy was a true member of our family, he was a trusted partner in the field and a constant source of comfort and joy at home.

From the first day he bounded into our lives, Buddy showed unwavering devotion, unmatched spirit, and a heart full of love. He was Rex’s right-hand dog in the duck blind; always eager, always ready, and always by his side. The bond they shared was something rare and beautiful, built on countless early mornings, muddy boots, and quiet drives home with a tail wagging in the backseat.

When the hunting gear was packed away, Buddy was just as happy curled up at our feet, offering the kind of quiet companionship only a good dog can give. He was gentle with our family, loyal beyond measure, and always up for one more throw of the ball.

Saying goodbye to Buddy leaves a deep ache in our hearts, but we’re grateful for the years of memories, laughter, and love he gave so freely. He was a good boy, the best boy, and he will forever be missed.

Run free, sweet Buddy. We’ll see you again on the other side.
