In Loving Memory of Dexter
Twelve and a half years ago, we brought home a big, goofy boxer with an even bigger heart. Long before we became parents, Dexter was our first baby. He was there when we went through different homes, celebrated milestones, and dreamed about the family we hoped to have.
When our children came along, Dexter welcomed each of them with the same gentle, loyal heart that made everyone who met him fall in love. He watched them grow from babies into big kids, always nearby to protect them, comfort them, and remind them what unconditional love looks like.
Dexter was a big dog in every sense of the word. His size could fill a room, but it was his heart that truly made him larger than life. He loved his family with everything he had, asking for nothing more than to be close to the people he loved most.
Before he was our children’s best friend, Dexter had a best friend of his own—his sister, Elsa. They grew up side by side and were rarely ever apart. We find peace in knowing that they’re together again, running, playing, and keeping each other company just like they always did.
Run free, sweet Dexter. Give Elsa a nudge from us, chase every ball, soak up every patch of sunshine, and know that you will always be loved, always be missed, and never, ever be forgotten.
