Graham “Grammy” Barnard
2023 – October 11, 2026
Graham was adopted from Oklahoma City, and although we may never know exactly when he was born, we are forever grateful that he was. It took two families and a foster home before Graham finally found his way to us, and we will always consider ourselves so lucky to have been the family that got to love him.
Graham was such a joy and had the very best personality. He was cuddly, funny, and full of life. He was always right beside us or following Caroline, his little girl, around the house. He would paw at us for pets, curl up in our laps, and make sure he was never too far away from the people he loved. He got the zoomies often, sat up like a little human, and had a way of making us laugh without even trying. He loved to dance with Caroline, follow her adventures, and even jump right into her bath. Wherever she was, Graham wanted to be, and wherever Graham was, Caroline was never far behind.
Caroline lovingly called him “Grammy,” and he truly was her little shadow. He was endlessly patient with her and happily let her put makeup on him, dress him in costumes, and decorate him with necklaces. Their bond was something truly special, and he was so much more than a dog to her. He was her companion, her playmate, and her very best little friend.
Graham had so many little things that made him uniquely himself. He had his beloved emotional support sock, adored his toys, loved being brushed, and could never pass up an opportunity to play outside or go for a car ride. He loved cheese and bananas, and he even had his own chair at the dinner table, where he sat so politely with us every evening. He was part of every little piece of our daily lives, and our home will never feel quite the same without him.
Graham was loved more deeply than words can ever express. He fit perfectly into our family and left paw prints on all of our hearts, especially Caroline’s. He is missed terribly by his family and his dog sisters, Sadie and Jersey. We will miss his cuddles, his silly antics, his little paw asking for attention, and the simple comfort of having him beside us. Caroline still asks for him, and we hope that as she grows, she will always remember the special bond she shared with her Grammy.
It was never enough time, but we are so thankful for every moment we were given with him. Graham was the sweetest boy, the best companion, and a once-in-a-lifetime kind of dog. He was so deeply loved, and he will be missed for the rest of our lives. We are forever grateful that, after everything it took for him to find us, we got to be his family.
