Nomos was a Belgian Malinois and a member of the Springdale Police Department's K-9 unit in Springdale, Arkansas. He worked alongside his handler, Officer Morris Irvin. Nomos was trained in narcotics detection, building clearance, tracking, evidence recovery, and suspect apprehension. He was one of three K-9s on the Springdale force, one for each shift.

Partnership:Nomos worked with his handler, Officer Morris Irvin, and the two had a strong bond. Specialized Skills:Nomos  was trained to locate narcotics and alert his handler by sitting down, without touching the substance. First Arrest:Nomos made his first arrest in his third week on the job, tracking down a suspect for the Washington County Sheriff's Office, according to 5newsonline.com. K-9 Team:The Springdale Police Department has a dedicated K-9 team that included Nomos and other dogs trained for various tasks. 

Retirement:Officer Irvin, Nomos' handler, has recently retired.
