October 2009 - December 15, 2025
My sweet Sallie(Sal-Sal)was born October 2009 and joined the Stratton family by happenstance in December 2009. My 5 year old wanted a “black dog that she would name Sallie.” I met with the lady who had a little black dog with the cutest underbite I had ever seen! She said we have been calling her Sallie but you can change it!
She quickly became my best girl and remained so for 17 years.
Sallie loved to go on car rides and be anywhere I was. She was my lap dog. In the car, on the couch, chair, bed wherever I was, she was. She was small but oh so mighty and protective of her family. She loved to play, run around outside and roll everywhere. The side-by-side was a favorite of hers! When it started, she came running!
She enjoyed many travels, to the beach, Eureka Springs, deer camp, many road trips and camping trips.
One of her favorite places to go was her papaw and aunts house in Springdale, Ar. She knew we were there before we got there, jumping out of the car as soon as we stopped! She loved to stay with her nana. She especially loved her mamaw and great grandma Sue’s house— where she was thoroughly spoiled and given all the treats and tuna she could eat! Sallie’s other very favorite person was my grandson Dawson, maybe more than me! She was his protector!
Sallie was so very loyal. Even after she lost her sight, no matter where I was she found me and was always so happy to see me.
Sweet Sallie, momma (Ashley), Jeremy, Kamryn, Emberlynn, Easton, Dawson, Braylynn and your extended family love you so much and will forever miss you!!
