Our Sally, our Sissy Sue, our baby girl, our old lady, our ladybug, our sharp-biscuit baker. When we first got you, you were the companion to your much adored sister and littermate, Nikki. You were so shy and already full of so much fire and conviction, even though you were so very small and fluffy. You were independent, even occasionally aloof, wanting affection on your terms and always ready with a sassy expression or hiss for every occasion. Don’t let this mislead your legacy, you were and always have been a sweet girl, a lover at heart who was sensitive to your loved ones and adored being pet often. The past nearly two years it has been you and your person in our bedroom, with the immense, Earth-shattering loss of Nikki bringing you two closer together. You let her have it when she had to leave the room for too long for your liking, meowing and climbing all over her. You have been her cuddle buddy, her cozy, purring best friend, her affectionate and gorgeous old lady. Since you were diagnosed and began treatment for diabetes, we all knew one day we would one day have to say farewell for now due to complications from it. Your time came at 3:17 PM on October 22nd, 2024, surrounded by your three most loved humans, passing peacefully and painlessly, gently encased in your person’s arms and being doted on. We all know you were given a hero’s welcome, with all the love, wet food, cuddles, and triumphant reunion with your precious sister. We know you curl up with her now alongside other forever loved fur babies, pain-free, youthful, and all purrs. The magnitude of this loss has utterly crumpled us- especially her human, who wrote this obituary for her little old lady- now, and she hopes you feel every single endless flow of how she- I- will always, always, always utterly adore you. Night night, darling heart- I will see you someday on the other side.
